INSTRUCTIONS

This stationery has been designed for Outlook Express version 5, though it should also work fairly reasonably with Outlook 4x and can be manipulated to work in other Outlook versions' coding. I don't have the other versions, so you will need to play around with your computer to find out how to make them work with your version.

INSTALLATION:

Double-click the .exe file; you will be asked where you would like the stationery to be placed. The default directory for stationery is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery ... and this will create another directory inside that one, "\TC9". IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING, you may change this to a directory of your choice but PLEASE NOTE: if you do so, you will need to guide your Outlook program to the correct directory to find the stationery and the music, when using it.

USING STATIONERY CORRECTLY:

OUTLOOK EXPRESS 5.0:
The only way to ensure that ALL parts of the stationery are correctly used is to go to the NEW MAIL icon at top left of your Outlook; click on the little arrow to the right of the icon; choose SELECT STATIONERY, and browse to the stationery you are looking for. NOTE: Opening a new message and then using the FORMAT command will NOT use the stationery fully or correctly.

OUTLOOK 97:
Thanks to Beth Killian for this explanation on how to use our stationery in Outlook 97. Please note though that the music won't work!

Open a new message, click in the text area, and then select FORMAT/BACKGROUND/FILL EFFECTS. From there click on the PICTURE tab, & then SELECT PICTURE.  At this point you need to select which directory you are grabbing the "picture" (a.k.a. stationery) from & then choose the filename of the picture.  Also, you will want to select all the text (EDIT/SELECT ALL) and then fix the left indentation so the text will not be on top of your photos.  This can be done through FORMAT/PARAGRAPH.  Set the left indentation to 1.5" (or appropriate) & set all others to zero.  You'll need to make sure that Alignment is also set to left.

Thank you for observing courtesy, etiquette, and legal international copyright procedures. Enjoy the stationery!
